Recipe

My aunts used to whip this up, and I thought it was gone for good. But guess what? Found it, and it’s even yummier

There’s nothing quite like a refreshing treat to bring a little joy to your day, and our Strawberry Dole Whip is just the ticket. Inspired by the famous Dole Whip served at theme parks, this homemade version is a delightful way to cool off during the warm summer months. It’s perfect for family gatherings or just a fun surprise for the kids after school. Plus, it’s simple enough that even the little ones can help out in the kitchen!

Strawberry Dole Whip is lovely on its own, but you can make it a little more special by serving it with some crunchy granola or a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips. For an extra touch, you could pair it with some freshly sliced strawberries or a light, buttery shortbread cookie on the side. It’s also delicious served in a waffle cone if you want to make it feel like a trip to the ice cream parlor!

Strawberry Dole Whip

Servings: 4

Ingredients

2 cups frozen strawberries

1 cup pineapple juice

1/2 cup vanilla almond milk

2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

Directions

1. Add the frozen strawberries and pineapple juice to a blender or food processor.

2. Blend on high until the strawberries are broken down and the mixture is smooth.

3. Add the vanilla almond milk and honey (if using), and blend again until everything is fully incorporated and smooth.

4. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more almond milk, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

5. Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or freeze for 30 minutes to an hour if you prefer a firmer consistency.

6. Scoop into bowls or cones, and enjoy!

Variations & Tips

You can easily switch things up by using different frozen fruits. Try mango or peach for a tropical twist, or mixed berries for a berry-licious treat. If you prefer a dairy-free version, simply use a coconut or soy-based milk instead of almond milk. For a tangier flavor, squeeze in a bit of fresh lemon or lime juice. And if you have picky eaters, involve them in the process by letting them choose their favorite fruits to blend in!
