What to do

As for the Steak for the Poor:

1. In a big basin, vigorously blend the ground beef, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, milk, onion, and beaten egg.

Second, using a greased baking sheet or a loaf pan, press the mixture into the pan.

Third, to set, put in the fridge for eight hours, preferably the night.

Fourth, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

5. Make half-inch thick steaks from the cold meat mixture.

6. Bake the steaks for 25 minutes on a baking sheet that has been buttered.

Step 7: Make the Gravy: Whisk the flour and beef broth in a skillet over medium heat until the mixture thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Regarding the Mashed Cauliflower:

8. Add the minced garlic and boil the potatoes for approximately 20 minutes, or until they are cooked.

9. After draining the potatoes, combine them with milk, butter, salt, and pepper, and mash until well combined.

In Order to Assist:

10. After the steaks are roasted, top them with gravy and serve them over mashed potatoes.

To make it a full dinner, just add some veggies or a side salad.

Tips and Variations

To make the Poor Man’s Steak your own, try seasoning the beef with smoked paprika or garlic powder, for example. You can make it leaner by using ground turkey instead of beef. To make the mashed potatoes more fancier, try topping them with grated Parmesan or replacing part of the butter with cream cheese.
