Homemade No-Bake Crunch Bars
Crunch bars with a delicious mix of crispy rice cereal and rich, delicate chocolate are a treat for the soul. With a hint of nuttiness from the peanut butter, these bars promise flavor and texture in every bite. To make your own batch:
Ingredients:
3 cups crispy rice cereal
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter (or any nut or seed butter of your choice)
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil (or grass-fed butter as a substitute)
Instructions:
Preparation: First, line a 20 x 20 cm baking dish with baking paper.
Muesli: Place the crispy rice muesli in a large bowl and set aside.
Melting Ingredients: In a microwave-safe bowl (or in a pot on the stove), combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, maple syrup and coconut oil.Heat until the chocolate chips are melted.
Mixture: Beat the mixture until silky and smooth. Then pour over the crispy rice muesli. Make sure the granola is evenly covered with the chocolate mixture.
Set: Place the chocolate-covered muesli in the prepared baking dish.Spread it evenly and refrigerate for at least an hour, or until it hardens.
Serve: Once solid, remove from the fridge and cut into bars
